Did you have a 2017 FSAFEDS account? If so, be sure to submit your claims before the deadline. All claims for the 2017 benefit period must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, on Monday, April 30, 2018. Any 2017 claims received after this time will not be processed. Participants enrolled in both Blue Cross Blue Shield Benefit Service Plan (BCBS) and paperless reimbursement may not have had all 2018 prescription and medical claims received by FSAFEDS. The IRS recently released the medical mileage rate for the 2018 benefit period. The 2018 rate is 18 cents per mile, a slight increase from 2017.
Open Season ended at midnight Eastern Time on Monday, December 11. If you were unable to enroll in FSAFEDS for 2018 for reasons outside of your control, you may qualify for a Belated Enrollment.

Recently, the IRS increased the amount participants may contribute to a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or a Limited Expense Health Care FSA. For the 2018 benefit period, you can contribute up to a maximum of $2,650 - an increase of $50 from the 2017 benefit period.
