Even if school is not held regularly, now is a great time to check on your children's health. Many of these expenses are eligible for reimbursement from your Health Care FSA (HCFSA).
With summer in full swing, now is a great time to make the most of your Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS) Flexible Spending Account (FSA) with eligible expenses related to the warmer months. Items such as sunscreen, prescription sunglasses and first aid kits are eligible with the Health Care FSA (HCFSA), and services such as summer day camp and daycare are eligible with the Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA).

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) recently released a new medical mileage rate for the last half of 2022. For the 2022 benefit period, the mileage rate is 18 cents per mile through June 30, 2022. Beginning July 1, 2022, the mileage rate is 22 cents per mile for the remainder of 2022. The deadline to submit mileage claims from the 2022 benefit period is April 30, 2023.
