Are your little ones ready for summer? The Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS) Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA) can help make sure they are.
Did you have a 2021 Federal Flexible Spending Account Program (FSAFEDS) account? If so, be sure to submit your claims before the deadline. All claims for the 2021 benefit period must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, on Saturday, April 30, 2022.
The 2022 medical mileage rate will change to 18 cents per mile.
COVID testing is an eligible HCFSA Expense! Masks, hand sanitizing wipes (with 60%+ alcohol base), and at-home COVID testing kits are all approved as eligible over-the-counter (OTC) HCFSA expenses!
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has announced 2022 Flexible Spending Account (FSA) contribution limits which increase the amount participants may contribute to a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) or a Limited Expense Health Care FSA (LEX HCFSA). For the 2022 benefit period, you can contribute up to a maximum of $2,850 - an increase of $100 from the 2021 benefit period. You may also carry over unused funds up to a maximum of $570 - an increase of $20 from the 2021 benefit period.
Open Season enrollment has started, and it's the perfect time to discover all the benefits of the FSAFEDS Flexible Spending Account program.
With Open Season starting Monday, November 8, 2021, it's time to begin planning for the 2022 benefit period and your enrollment in FSAFEDS. Remember, enrollment in FSAFEDS is voluntary, and you must actively enroll each year; participation does not automatically continue from year to year.
The 2021 benefit period is almost over. Be sure to incur any remaining expenses before December 31, 2021.
Exciting news! In response to recent legislation and IRS guidance, OPM is announcing important program changes to FSAFEDS that provide more flexibility for using your account.
The FSAFEDS Limited Expense FSA (LEXFSA) is an important addition to the Health Savings Account (HSA). It helps cover eligible dental and vision expenses that are not paid by insurance and saves you money by using pre-tax funds.
