Important Information about Paperless Reimbursements
Are you enrolled in paperless reimbursement (PR)? If so, please read the following details to learn more about claims processing and other important details.
Claims Incurred During the Blackout Period
As a reminder, all paperless reimbursement claims incurred during the blackout period have been sent to WageWorks by participating FEHB and/or FEDVIP plans. WageWorks will begin processing these claims on Thursday, September 8, 2016.
Linked Spouse Accounts
FSAFEDS offers spouses the opportunity to link their accounts, so when one spouse's balance has been exhausted, paperless reimbursement claims are automatically forwarded and processed against the spouse's account with a remaining balance.
This feature is not currently available, but it will be available again later in the year. We will post another message when this feature becomes available. In the meantime, claims may be submitted manually against the account with a remaining balance. Claims may be submitted via the secure online process, the FSAFEDS app, fax, or mail.
Using a Spouse's FEHB or FEDVIP Coverage for Paperless Reimbursement
FSAFEDS offers participants the ability to use their spouse's FEHB or FEDVIP enrollment information to sign up for paperless reimbursement. This allows the FSAFEDS participant to take advantage of the convenience of paperless reimbursement when the participant is not the FEHB or FEDVIP policyholder.
This feature is not currently available, but it will be available at a later date. We will provide more information regarding this feature in future communications. In the meantime, claims may be submitted manually through the secure online process, the FSAFEDS app, fax, or mail.
