With the year half way over, now is the time to assess your usage of the FSAFEDS program and manage your account so you can plan for expenses you will incur during the remainder of the year.
It's that time of year! Everything is starting to bloom, including allergies. Many FSAFEDS participants use the Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) on popular spring products.
As more and more dependent care providers and schools respond to the call for social distancing, you may feel the need to make a change to your Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (DCFSA) election.
On March 27, 2020, President Trump signed into law the $2 trillion appropriations bill, The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). The CARES Act brings emergency assistance and additional health care provisions to Americans affected by the 2020 pandemic.
Did you have a 2019 FSAFEDS account? If so, be sure to submit your claims before the deadline. All claims for the 2019 benefit period must be received no later than 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, on Thursday, April 30, 2020.
The IRS recently released the medical mileage rate for the 2020 benefit period. The 2020 rate is 17 cents per mile, a slight decrease from 2019.
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has announced 2020 FSA contribution limits which increase the amount participants may contribute to a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) or a Limited Expense Health Care FSA(LEX HCFSA).
The 2019 benefit period is almost over. Be sure to incur any remaining expenses before December 31, 2019.
With summer in full swing, now is a great time to make the most of your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) with eligible expenses related to the warmer months. Items such as sunscreen, prescription sunglasses and first aid kits are eligible with the Health Care FSA (HCFSA), and services such as summer day camp and day care are eligible with the Dependent Care FSA (DCFSA).
